2005-11-07[PATCH] VFS: split dentry locking documentationPekka Enberg
This patch splits dentry locking documentation from Documentation/filesystems/vfs.txt to a separate file. The dentry locking bits are useful but do not fit into the VFS overview document as is. 2005-11-07[PATCH] VFS: update overview documentPekka Enberg
This patch updates the Documentation/filesystems/vfs.txt document. I rearranged and rewrote parts of the introduction chapter and added better headings for each section. I also added a description for the inode rename() operation which was missing and added links to some useful external VFS documentation. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
