2009-08-15timekeeping: Move NTP adjusted clock multiplier to struct timekeeperMartin Schwidefsky
The clocksource structure has two multipliers, the unmodified multiplier clock->mult_orig and the NTP corrected multiplier clock->mult. The NTP multiplier is misplaced in the struct clocksource, this is private information of the timekeeping code. Add the mult field to the struct timekeeper to contain the NTP corrected value, keep the unmodifed multiplier in clock->mult and remove clock->mult_orig. This patch adds the support for OMAP4. The platform and machine specific headers and sources updated for OMAP4430 SDP platform. OMAP4430 is Texas Instrument's SOC based on ARM Cortex-A9 SMP architecture. It's a dual core SOC with GIC used for interrupt handling and SCU for cache coherency. 2009-05-28OMAP2/3: PM: push core PM code from linux-omapKevin Hilman
This patch is to sync the core linux-omap PM code with mainline. This code has evolved and been used for a while the linux-omap tree, but the attempt here is to finally get this into mainline. Following this will be a series of patches from the 'PM branch' of the linux-omap tree to add full PM hardware support from the linux-omap tree. Much of this PM core code was written by Jouni Hogander with significant contributions from Paul Walmsley as well as many others from Nokia, Texas Instruments and linux-omap community. Separate SDRC code common to OMAP2/3 from mach-omap2/sdrc2xxx.c to mach-omap2/sdrc.c. Rename the OMAP2xxx-specific functions to use an 'omap2xxx' prefix rather than an 'omap2' prefix, and use "sdrc" in the function names rather than "memory." Mark several functions as static that should not be used outside the sdrc2xxx.c file. linux-omap source commit is bf1612b9d8d29379558500cd5de9ae0367c41fc4. 2008-09-05[ARM] omap: Fix IO_ADDRESS() macrosRussell King
OMAP1_IO_ADDRESS(), OMAP2_IO_ADDRESS() and IO_ADDRESS() returns cookies for use with __raw_{read|write}* for accessing registers. Therefore, these macros should return (void __iomem *) cookies, not integer values. Doing this improves typechecking, and means we can find those places where, eg, DMA controllers are incorrectly given virtual addresses to DMA to, or physical addresses are thrown through a virtual to physical address translation. This patch changes 24xx to use new register access, except for clock framework. Clock framework register access will get updates in the next patch. Note that board-*.c files change GPMC (General Purpose Memory Controller) access to use gpmc_cs_write_reg() instead of accessing the registers directly. The code also uses gpmc_fck instead of it's parent clock core_l3_ck for GPMC clock. The H4 board file also adds h4_init_flash() function, which specify the flash start and end addresses. 2008-04-14ARM: OMAP: Timer32K: Move 32k-based sched_clock() to common codeKevin Hilman
Since 32k timer code is moving to OMAP1 specific dir, move the 32k-based sched_clock() into common code where it is based on the 32k sync counter and can be used even when using MPU timer. While moving, change the ticks-to-nsecs conversion to use the helper functions provided by clocksource.h. Also removed the unused ticks_to_usec, leaving only ticks_to_nsec.
