2006-10-17[IA64] update sn2_defconfigJes Sorensen
The current sn2_defconfig is obsolete, in particular the recent ATA changes are a pain, so here's a patch to get things in sync ... at least for a day or two :) Update sn_defconfig to match current community kernel tree. 2006-07-31[PATCH] sgiioc4: Always share IRQBrent Casavant
The SGI IOC4 IDE device always shares an interrupt with other devices which are part of IOC4. As such, IDEPCI_SHARE_IRQ should always be enabled when BLK_DEV_SGIIOC4 is enabled. 2006-01-14[PATCH] Altix: ioc3 serial supportPatrick Gefre
Add driver support for a 2 port PCI IOC3-based serial card on Altix boxes: This is a re-submission. On the original submission I was asked to organize the code so that the MIPS ioc3 ethernet and serial parts could be used with this driver. Stanislaw Skowronek was kind enough to provide the shim layer for this - thanks Stanislaw. This patch includes the shim layer and the Altix PCI ioc3 serial driver. The MIPS merged ioc3 ethernet and serial support is forthcoming. 2005-12-02[IA64] Updates to the sn2_defconfig for 2.6.15.Robin Holt
This updates the sn2_defconfig file for the Altix 330 hardware, enables the AGP graphics for the SGI Prism, and removes prompts for the remainder of the new features. Greg Edwards reviewed the changes. Signed-off-by: Robin Holt <holt@sgi.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Edwards <edwardsg@sgi.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Luck <tony.luck@intel.com>
2005-11-11[IA64] 4-level page tablesRobin Holt
This patch introduces 4-level page tables to ia64. I have run some benchmarks and found nothing interesting. Performance has consistently fallen within the noise range. It also introduces a config option (setting the default to 3 levels). The config option prevents having 4 level page tables with 64k base page size. 2005-09-07[IA64] Minor cleanups - remove CONFIG_ACPI_DEALLOCATE_IRQKenji Kaneshige
The config option 'CONFIG_ACPI_DEALLOCATE_IRQ' is no longer needed. This patch removes it. Signed-off-by: Kenji Kaneshige <kaneshige.kenji@jp.fujitsu.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Luck <tony.luck@intel.com>
2005-08-25[ACPI] delete CONFIG_ACPI_PCILen Brown
Delete the ability to build an ACPI kernel that does not include PCI support. When such a machine is created and it requires a tuned kernel, send a patch. http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1364 Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>
2005-08-25[ACPI] IA64-related ACPI Kconfig fixesLen Brown
Build issues were mostly in the ACPI=n case -- don't do that. Select ACPI from IA64_GENERIC. Add some missing dependencies on ACPI. Mark BLACKLIST_YEAR and some laptop-only ACPI drivers as X86-only. Let me know when you get an IA64 Laptop. Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>

2005-07-12[IA64] remove CONFIG_IA64_SGI_SN_SIMGreg Edwards
This patch removes the CONFIG_IA64_SGI_SN_SIM option entirely, allowing any kernel bootable on sn2 to also be booted in the simulator. Boot tested on Altix and HP rx2600. Signed-off-by: Greg Edwards <edwardsg@sgi.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Luck <tony.luck@intel.com>
2005-06-28[IA64-SGI] altix: enable vgacon supportMark Maule
Altix patch to enable use of vgacon driver on that platform. Depends on the PCDP generalization patch discussed at: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-ia64&m=111446235101939&w=2 Signed-off-by: Mark Maule <maule@sgi.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Luck <tony.luck@intel.com>
2005-06-23[PATCH] update all defconfigs for ARCH_DISCONTIGMEM_ENABLEDave Hansen
This will at least suppress one prompt that users would have received the first time they compile with the new DISCONTIG arch option. They'll still get the "Memory Model" prompt, but 99% of them will have the default work there. 2005-06-21[PATCH] ioc4: CONFIG splitBrent Casavant
The SGI IOC4 I/O controller chip drivers are currently all configured by CONFIG_BLK_DEV_SGIIOC4. This is undesirable as not all IOC4 hardware features are needed by all systems. This patch adds two configuration variables, CONFIG_SGI_IOC4 for core IOC4 driver support (see patch 1/3 in this series for further explanation) and CONFIG_SERIAL_SGI_IOC4 to independently enable serial port support. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
