2006-05-24[PATCH] powerpc: make iSeries flattened device tree dynamicStephen Rothwell
First we capture all the strings from dt.c statically by noting that gcc puts them in a special section of their own. Idea from Michael Ellerman. Then we move the flattened device tree to klimit. This reverts part of "ppc64 iSeries: allow build with no PCI" (145d01e4287b8cbf50f87c3283e33bf5c84e8468) which affected generic code and applies a fix in the arch specific code. Commit "partly merge iseries do_IRQ" (5fee9b3b39eb55c7e3619a3b36ceeabffeb8f144) introduced iSeries_get_irq which was only available if CONFIG_PCI is set. 2005-10-12powerpc: make iSeries boot againStephen Rothwell
On ARCH=ppc64 we were getting htab_hash_mask recalculated to the correct value for our particular machine by accident. In the merge tree, that code was commented out, so htab_hash_mask was being corrupted. We now set ppc64_pft_size instead which gets htab_has_mask calculated correctly for us later. We should put an ibm,pft-size property in the device tree at some point. Also set -mno-minimal-toc in some makefiles. Allow iSeries to configure PROC_DEVICETREE.
