2008-02-15[POWERPC] PPC440EP Interrupt Triggering and Level SettingsWolfgang Ocker
Corrected IRQ triggering and level settings according to latest revision of the 440EP User Manual (rev 1.24 nov 16, 2007). The incorrect settings might cause a failure of the network if both onchip ethernet ports are under heavy load. 2007-12-07[POWERPC] virtex bug fix: Use canonical value for AC97 interrupt xparamsGrant Likely
The ml300 and ml403 xparameters.h files use different macros for the AC97 interrupt pin assignments. This normalizes them to a canonical value similar to what EDK generates for most other devices. This is needed to get ml300 support to compile in arch/ppc. 2007-11-01[POWERPC] 4xx: Fix 4xx flush_tlb_page()Benjamin Herrenschmidt
On 4xx CPUs, the current implementation of flush_tlb_page() uses a low level _tlbie() assembly function that only works for the current PID. Thus, invalidations caused by, for example, a COW fault triggered by get_user_pages() from a different context will not work properly, causing among other things, gdb breakpoints to fail. This patch adds a "pid" argument to _tlbie() on 4xx processors, and uses it to flush entries in the right context. FSL BookE also gets the argument but it seems they don't need it (their tlbivax form ignores the PID when invalidating according to the document I have). 2007-04-30[POWERPC] Stop using ppc_sys for Xilinx Virtex boardsGrant Likely
The arch/ppc/syslib/ppc_sys.c infrastructure does not work well for the virtex ports. Move the ml300 and ml403 board ports over to use the new virtex_devices infrastructure. 2007-04-30[POWERPC] Rework Kconfig dependancies for Xilinx Virtex ppc405 platformGrant Likely
Reverse dependency order for Xilinx Virtex parts. For these parts, It makes more sense for boards/chips to specify which features they provide instead of the features listing the parts they are implemented in. I think it also makes adding new board ports simpler. 2007-04-13[POWERPC] Ocotea board: ntpd complains that the frequency error exceeds the ↵Bart Van Assche
tolerance Lifted from http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8182 Steps to reproduce: - Boot an Ocotea board with the mainline 2.6.20.1 kernel. - Create an /etc/ntp.conf file with at least one NTP server and iburst mode set. - Issue the command "ntpd -g". - Wait about two minutes. - Verify ntpd's status via "ntpq -pn" and by looking in /var/log/ntp. This fixes this problem by adjusting the expected clock frequency. 2007-02-13[POWERPC] ppc: Add support for AMCC Taishan 440GX eval boardStefan Roese
This patch adds support for the AMCC Taishan PPC440GX evaluation board. This is still an arch/ppc port. I'm aware that the move of 4xx to arch/powerpc is making good progress right now. So this patch is mainly intended to make the Taishan support available for the community right now. Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>

2006-02-07[PATCH] powerpc: Migrate Xilinx Vertex support from the OCP bus to the ↵Grant C. Likely
platfom bus. This patch only deals with the serial port definitions as there is no support for any other xilinx IP cores in the kernel tree at the moment. Board specific configuration moved out of virtex.[ch] and into the xparameters.h wrapper. This also prepares for the transition to the flattened device tree model. When the bootloader provides a device tree generated from an xparameters.h files, the kernel will no longer need xparameters/*. The platform bus will get populated with data from the device tree, and the device drivers will be automatically connected to the devices. Only the bootloader (or ppcboot) will need xparameters directly. Signed-off-by: Grant C. Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
2006-02-07[PATCH] powerpc: Make Virtex-II Pro support generic for all Virtex devicesGrant C. Likely
The PPC405 hard core is used in both the Virtex-II Pro and Virtex 4 FX FPGAs. This patch cleans up the Virtex naming convention to reflect more than just the Virtex-II Pro. 2006-02-07[PATCH] powerpc: Move xparameters.h into xilinx virtex device specific pathGrant C. Likely
xparameters should not be needed by anything but virtex platform code. Move it from include/asm-ppc/ to platforms/4xx/xparameters/ This is preparing for work to remove xparameters from the dependancy tree for most c files. xparam changes should not cause a recompile of the world. Instead, drivers should get device info from the platform bus (populated by the boot code) Signed-off-by: Grant C. Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
