2005-09-08[SERIAL] Use an enum for serial8250 platform device IDsRussell King
Rather than hard-coding the platform device IDs, enumerate them. We don't particularly care about the actual ID we get, just as long as they're unique. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-06-21[PATCH] ppc32: Removed dependency on CONFIG_CPM2 for building mpc85xx_device.cKumar Gala
Previously we needed CONFIG_CPM2 enabled to get the proper IRQ ifdef's for CPM interrupts. Recent changes have caused that to be no longer necessary. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <kumar.gala@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

2005-05-20[PATCH] ppc32: Fix platform device initialization of 8250 serial portsKumar Gala
Initialization of 8250 serial ports that are platform devices require that at empty entry exists in the array of plat_serial8250_port. With out an empty entry we can get some pretty random behavior. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
