2008-12-04sparc,sparc64: unify kernel/Sam Ravnborg
o Move all files from sparc64/kernel/ to sparc/kernel - rename as appropriate o Update sparc/Makefile to the changes o Update sparc/kernel/Makefile to include the sparc64 files NOTE: This commit changes link order on sparc64! Link order had to change for either of sparc32 and sparc64. And assuming sparc64 see more testing than sparc32 change link order on sparc64 where issues will be caught faster. 2008-08-31sparc64: Clean up CPU chip type probing code.David S. Miller
Three main things: 1) Make prober an arch initcall instead of using hard-coded invocation from paging_init() 2) Shrink table size, the fpu ident stuff was never used. 3) Use named struct initialized in table. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-08-24sparc64: Split syscall_trace() into two functions.David S. Miller
Christoph Hellwig noticed that having both entry and exit logic in one function no longer makes sense, and having seperate ones simplifies things a lot. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-07-27sparc64: tracehook syscallRoland McGrath
This changes sparc64 syscall tracing to use the new tracehook.h entry points. [ Add assembly changes to force an immediate -ENOSYS return from the system call when syscall_trace() returns non-zero at syscall entry. -DaveM ] Signed-off-by: Roland McGrath <roland@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2008-04-24[SPARC64]: %l6 trap return handling no longer necessary.David S. Miller
Now that we indicate the "restart system call" in the trap type field of pt_regs->magic, we don't need to set the %l6 boolean in all of the trap return paths. And we therefore don't need to pass it to do_notify_resume(). Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2008-03-26[SPARC64]: Fix most sparse warnings in arch/sparc64/kernel/sys_sparc.cDavid S. Miller
Sparse still doesn't like the funny cast we make from a scalar to a "union semun" (which is correct by the C language and in particular works with the sparc64 calling conventions, but sparse doesn't grok that yet). Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2008-03-26[SPARC64]: Fix sparse errors in arch/sparc64/kernel/traps.cDavid S. Miller
Add 'UL' markers to DCU_* macros. Declare C functions called from assembler in entry.h Declare C functions called from within the sparc64 arch code in include/asm-sparc64/*.h headers as appropriate. Remove unused routines in traps.c Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-03-25[SPARC64]: Fix sparse warnings in arch/sparc64/kernel/{cpu,setup}.cDavid S. Miller
We create a local header file entry.h, under arch/sparc64/kernel/, that we can use to declare routines either defined in assembler or only invoked from assembler. As well as other data objects which are private to the inner sparc64 kernel arch code. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
