Fixes warning from exconfig.c on 64-bit build. AK: This actually was fixed earlier in Linux, this just syncs with AK: the version of the fix that went into the ACPCA codebase Signed-off-by: Bob Moore <robert.moore@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Lin Ming <ming.m.lin@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Andi Kleen <ak@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>
2008-10-22ACPICA: Copy dynamically loaded tables to local bufferDennis Noordsij
Previously, dynamically loaded tables were simply mapped, but on some machines this memory is corrupted after suspend. Now copy the table to a local buffer. For OpRegion case, added checksum verify. Use the table length from the table header, not the region length. For Buffer case, use the table length also. http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10734 Signed-off-by: Dennis Noordsij <dennis.noordsij@helsinki.fi> Signed-off-by: Bob Moore <robert.moore@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Lin Ming <ming.m.lin@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Andi Kleen <ak@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>
2008-08-15ACPICA: Fix possible memory leak in Unload() operatorLin Ming

2008-07-16ACPICA: Fix for invalid large array index on 64-bit systemsBob Moore
This problem was introduced in 20080514 as a result of the elimination of the acpi_native_uint type. Code uses a negative array index, which should be eliminated. No longer needed; replaced mostly with u32, but also acpi_size where a type that changes 32/64 bit on 32/64-bit platforms is required. v2: Fix a cast of a 32-bit int to a pointer in ACPI to avoid a compiler warning. from David Howells Signed-off-by: Bob Moore <robert.moore@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Lin Ming <ming.m.lin@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Andi Kleen <ak@linux.intel.com>
2008-06-11ACPICA: Fix for Load operator, load table at the namespace rootBob Moore
This reverts a change introduced in version 20071019. The table is now loaded at the namespace root even though this goes against the ACPI specification. 2008-04-22ACPICA: Update behavior of CopyObject to match ACPI specLin Ming
Fixed a problem where a CopyObject to RegionField, BankField, and IndexField objects did not perform an implicit conversion as it should. These types must retain their initial type permanently as per the ACPI specification. 2008-04-22ACPICA: Fix for Alias operator to see target child objectsBob Moore
Fixed a problem with the Alias operator when the target of the alias is a named ASL operator that opens a new scope -- Scope, Device, PowerResource, Processor, and ThermalZone. In these cases, any children of the original operator could not be accessed via the alias, potentially causing unexpected AE_NOT_FOUND exceptions. 2008-04-22ACPICA: New interfaces for table event handlersLin Ming
Designed and implemented new external interfaces to install and remove handlers for ACPI table-related events. Current events that are defined are LOAD and UNLOAD. 2008-04-22ACPICA: changed order of interpretation of operand objectsBob Moore
The interpreter now evaluates operands in the order that they appear (both in the AML and ASL), instead of in reverse order. 2007-05-09Revert "ACPICA: fix AML mutex re-entrancy"Len Brown
This reverts commit c0d127b56937c3e72c2b1819161d2f6718eee877. These changes to AML locking were made to allow Notify handlers to be called on the stack and not deadlock. However, that scheme turns out to be flawed and was reverted by the previous commit, so this commit restores the locking to it previous design. Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>
