2006-12-10V4L/DVB (4922): Add usbvision driverMauro Carvalho Chehab
This patch adds usbvision into V4L/DVB HG tree. Usbvision driver is a GPL driver, made by: Joerg Heckenbach <joerg@heckenbach-aw.de> and Dwaine Garden <DwaineGarden@rogers.com> V4L2 migration made by: Thierry Merle <thierry.merle@free.fr> Kconfig/Makefile scripts by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org> Signed-off-by: Joerg Heckenbach <joerg@heckenbach-aw.de> Signed-off-by: Dwaine Garden <dwainegarden@rogers.com> Signed-off-by: Thierry Merle <thierry.merle@free.fr> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>
2006-12-10V4L/DVB (4887): Remove the broken VIDEO_ZR36120 driverAdrian Bunk
The VIDEO_ZR36120 driver has: - already been marked as BROKEN in 2.6.0 three years ago and - is still marked as BROKEN. Drivers that had been marked as BROKEN for such a long time seem to be unlikely to be revived in the forseeable future. But if anyone wants to ever revive this driver, the code is still present in the older kernel releases. 2006-10-03V4L/DVB (4660): Some cleanups at helper chips menuMauro Carvalho Chehab

2006-09-26V4L/DVB (4518): Allow manually selecting the proper helper driversMauro Carvalho Chehab
There are several boards on V4L that can work with several different helper modules for audio/video encoding/decoding and similar stuff. This patch adds the capability of choicing between autoselecting the pertinent helper modules for each driver, or to manually selecting them. 2006-09-26V4L/DVB (4516): Split audio/video encoders/decoders from main driversMauro Carvalho Chehab
Several audio/video encoders/decoders were just bound as if they were part of the core driver. In fact, they are generic enough to be used by other drivers as well, since they use I2C event bus to communicate. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>

2006-06-27V4L/DVB (4228a): pvrusb2 to kernel 2.6.18Mike Isely
Implement V4L2 driver for the Hauppauge PVR USB2 TV tuner. The Hauppauge PVR USB2 is a USB connected TV tuner with an embedded cx23416 hardware MPEG2 encoder. There are two major variants of this device; this driver handles both. Any V4L2 application which understands MPEG2 video stream data should be able to work with this device. 2006-06-26V4L/DVB (4214): Make VIDEO_CX2341X a selectable build optionMichael Krufky
The cx2341x mpeg encoder module is used by cx88-blackbird, pvrusb2 and the external ivtv driver. This patch allows for cx2341x to be selected without having to also select cx88-blackbird. This will be needed to build the external ivtv driver or the standalone pvrusb2 driver against kernel 2.6.18 Signed-off-by: Michael Krufky <mkrufky@linuxtv.org> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>

2006-05-12V4L/DVB (3774): Create V4L1 config optionsMauro Carvalho Chehab
V4L1 API is depreciated and should be removed soon from kernel. This patch adds two new options, one to disable V4L1 drivers, and another to disable V4L1 compat module. This way, it would be easy to check what still depends on V4L1 stuff, allowing also to test if app works fine with V4L2 only support. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>

2006-03-25V4L/DVB (3599a): Move drivers/usb/media to drivers/media/videoMauro Carvalho Chehab
Because of historic reasons, there are two separate directories with V4L stuff. Most drivers are located at driver/media/video. However, some code for USB Webcams were inserted under drivers/usb/media. This makes difficult for module authors to know were things should be. Also, makes Kconfig menu confusing for normal users. This patch moves all V4L content under drivers/usb/media to drivers/media/video, and fixes Kconfig/Makefile entries.
