V4L1 API is depreciated and should be removed soon from kernel. This patch adds two new options, one to disable V4L1 drivers, and another to disable V4L1 compat module. Because of historic reasons, there are two separate directories with V4L stuff. Most drivers are located at driver/media/video. However, some code for USB Webcams were inserted under drivers/usb/media. This makes difficult for module authors to know were things should be. Also, makes Kconfig menu confusing for normal users. This patch moves all V4L content under drivers/usb/media to drivers/media/video, and fixes Kconfig/Makefile entries. The msp3400 driver is currently only being built if the bttv driver is selected. There are new drivers that will be needing msp3400, so simply including msp3400 in the Makefile is no longer appropriate. This patch creates VIDEO_MSP3400, and alters VIDEO_BT848, VIDEO_PVRUSB2 and VIDEO_AUDIO_DECODER each to select VIDEO_MSP3400. 2006-02-27V4L/DVB (3376): Add cpia2 camera supportAlan Cox
There has been a CPIA2 driver out of kernel for a long time and it has been pretty clean for some time too. This is an import of the sourceforge driver which has been stripped of - 2.4 back compatibility - 2.4 old style MJPEG ioctls A couple of functions have been made static and the docs have been repackaged into Documentation/video4linux. The rvmalloc/free functions now match the cpia driver again. Other than that this is the code as is. Tested on x86-64 with a QX5 microscope. On 2005-06-24, Adrian bunk fixed cx88-dvb: [PATCH] VIDEO_CX88_DVB must select DVB_CX22702 http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commit;h=d6988588e13616587aa879c2e0bd7cd811705e5d ...but we never removed the original patch from Gerd. Please apply this to 2.6.14, and also to 2.6.13.1 -stable. Without this patch, users will have to EXPLICITLY select tda1004x in Kconfig. This SHOULD be done automatically when saa7134-dvb is selected. This patch corrects this problem. Rename lgdt3302 to lgdt330x, to make way for the addition of lgdt3303 support in future revisions. I am changing the name of this module now so that hopefully the name will be changed before the release of 2.6.13 ... It wouldn't make sense to release 2.6.13 with the name lgdt3302 in it, which will only be renamed to lgdt330x in later versions. tuner-core.c, tuner.h: - tuner-core changed to support multiple I2C devices used on some adapters; - Kconfig now has an option (CONFIG_TUNER_MULTI_I2C) to enable this new behavor; - By default, even enabling CONFIG_TUNER_MULTI_I2C, tuner-core emulates the old behavor, using first I2C device for both FM and TV; - There is a new i2c command (TUNER_SET_ADDR) to allow tuner clients to select I2C address for FM or TV tuner; - Tuner I2C dettach now generates a warning on syslog if failed. tuner-simple.c: - TVision TVF-8531MF and TVF-5533 MF tuner included. It uses, by default, I2C on 0xC2 address for TV and on 0xC0 for Radio. Both TV and FM Radio mode are working.
