2006-03-25[PATCH] Remove MODULE_PARMRusty Russell
MODULE_PARM was actually breaking: recent gcc version optimize them out as unused. It's time to replace the last users, which are generally in the most unloved drivers anyway. 2006-01-09V4L (926_2): Moves compat32 functions from fs to v4l subsystemArnd Bergmann
This moves the 32 bit ioctl compatibility handlers for Video4Linux into a new file and adds explicit calls to them to each v4l device driver. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any code handling the v4l2 ioctls, so quite often the code goes through two separate conversions, first from 32 bit v4l to 64 bit v4l, and from there to 64 bit v4l2. My patch does not change that, so there is still much room for improvement. Also, some drivers have additional ioctl numbers, for which the conversion should be handled internally to that driver. 2005-09-10[PATCH] vfree and kfree cleanup in drivers/Jesper Juhl
This patch does a full cleanup of 'NULL checks before vfree', and a partial cleanup of calls to kfree for all of drivers/ - the kfree bit is partial in that I only did the files that also had vfree calls in them. The patch also gets rid of some redundant (void *) casts of pointers being passed to [vk]free, and a some tiny whitespace corrections also crept in. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
