2010-01-28igbvf: fix issue w/ mapped_as_page being left set after unmapAlexander Duyck
This change fixes an issue in igbvf with mapped_as_page being left set after a page is unmapped which results in buffers which are mapped via map single being unmapped as page. 2010-01-23net: Fix IPv6 GSO type checks in Intel ethernet driversSridhar Samudrala
Found this problem when testing IPv6 from a KVM guest to a remote host via e1000e device on the host. The following patch fixes the check for IPv6 GSO packet in Intel ethernet drivers to use skb_is_gso_v6(). SKB_GSO_DODGY is also set when packets are forwarded from a guest. 2010-01-23igb/igbvf: cleanup exception handling in tx_map_advAlexander Duyck
After removing the skb_dma_map/unmap calls the exception handling in igb_tx_map_adv is not correct. The issue is that the count value was not being correctly handled so as a result we were not rewinding the ring as back as we should have been. 2009-12-11igbvf: avoid reset storms due to mailbox issuesAlexander Duyck
From: Alexander Duyck <alexander.h.duyck@intel.com> This change makes it so that reset/interrupt storms can be avoided when there are mailbox issues. The new behavior is to only allow the device to trigger mailbox related resets only once every 10 seconds. 2009-12-02igbvf: remove skb_dma_map/unmap call from driversAlexander Duyck
This patch removes the skb_dma_map/unmap calls from the igbvf driver due to the fact that it does not play well with HW IOMMU when combined with transmitting cloned skbs. 2009-10-05net: Convert ethtool {get_stats, self_test}_count() ops to get_sset_count()Ben Hutchings
These string query operations were supposed to be replaced by the generic get_sset_count() starting in 2007. Convert the remaining implementations. Also remove calls to these operations to initialise drvinfo->n_stats. The ethtool core code already does that. 2009-08-04igbvf: Allow VF driver to correctly recognize failure to set macAlexander Duyck
The VF driver was not correctly recognizing that it did not correctly set it's mac address. As a result the VF driver was unable to receive network traffic until being unloaded and reloaded. The issue was root caused to the fact that the CTS bit was not taken into account when checking for the request being NAKed. 2009-08-01igbvf: return PCI_ERS_RESULT_DISCONNECT on permanent failureDean Nelson

2009-07-26igbvf: resolve "frees DMA memory with different size" warningsAlexander Duyck

2009-06-08net: skb_shared_info optimizationEric Dumazet
skb_dma_unmap() is quite expensive for small packets, because we use two different cache lines from skb_shared_info. One to access nr_frags, one to access dma_maps[0] Instead of dma_maps being an array of MAX_SKB_FRAGS + 1 elements, let dma_head alone in a new dma_head field, close to nr_frags, to reduce cache lines misses. Tested on my dev machine (bnx2 & tg3 adapters), nice speedup ! Signed-off-by: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2009-05-29net: dont update dev->trans_startEric Dumazet
Second round of drivers for Gb cards (and NIU one I forgot in the 10GB round) Now that core network takes care of trans_start updates, dont do it in drivers themselves, if possible. Drivers can avoid one cache miss (on dev->trans_start) in their start_xmit() handler. Exceptions are NETIF_F_LLTX drivers Signed-off-by: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2009-05-06igbvf: cleanup flags and allow for rx checksum to be disabledAlexander Duyck

2009-04-11igbvf: fix unused external referencesAlexander Duyck

2009-04-08igbvf: add new driver to support 82576 virtual functionsAlexander Duyck
This adds an igbvf driver to handle virtual functions provided by the igb driver when SR-IOV has been enabled. A virtual function is a lightweight pci-e function that supports a single queue and shares resources with the 82576 physical function contained within the igb driver. To spawn virtual functions from the igb driver all that is needed is to enable CONFIG_PCI_IOV and have an 82576 Ethernet adapter on a system that supports SR-IOV in the BIOS. The virtual functions will appear after the interface is loaded.
