2008-11-30section misannotation in ibmtr_csAl Viro
ibmtr_resume() is calling ibmtr_probe(), which is devinit. Whether that's the right thing to do there is a separate question, but since it's PCMCIA and thus will never compile without HOTPLUG... 2008-10-13net: Rationalise email address: Network Specific PartsAlan Cox
Clean up the various different email addresses of mine listed in the code to a single current and valid address. As Dave says his network merges for 2.6.28 are now done this seems a good point to send them in where they won't risk disrupting real changes. 2008-10-08netdev: uniquify the tx_timeout nameArjan van de Ven
there's several drivers that have use "tx_timeout" for the .. tx timeout function. All fine with that, they're static, however for doing stats on how often which driver hits the timeout it's a tad unfortunate. The patch below gives the ones I found in the kerneloops.org database unique names. Signed-off-by: Arjan van de Ven <arjan@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2008-08-31pcmcia: remove unused argument to pcmcia_parse_tuple()Dominik Brodowski
Since we're just parsing the tuple being passed to this function, we don't need any device-specific information. Also, remove the call to pcmcia_validate_cis() from pcmciamtd.c, since it is already called by the PCMCIA core. Signed-off-by: Dominik Brodowski <linux@dominikbrodowski.net>
2008-08-31pcmcia: card services header cleanupDominik Brodowski
16-bit PCMCIA device handling function definitions are moved to ds.h, internal definitions to cs_internal.h. Signed-off-by: Dominik Brodowski <linux@dominikbrodowski.net>
2008-08-23pcmcia: deprecate CS_OUT_OF_RESOURCEDominik Brodowski
CS_OUT_OF_RESOURCE was almost only used to note -ENOMEM situations. Therefore, use -ENOMEM explicitely, and also print out warnings. CC: netdev@vger.kernel.org Signed-off-by: Dominik Brodowski <linux@dominikbrodowski.net>
2008-08-23pcmcia: deprecate CS_SUCCESSDominik Brodowski
Instead of using own error or success codes, the PCMCIA code should rely on the generic return values. Therefore, replace all occurrences of CS_SUCCESS with 0. CC: netdev@vger.kernel.org Signed-off-by: Dominik Brodowski <linux@dominikbrodowski.net>
2008-08-23pcmcia: pcmcia_config_loop() improvement by passing vccDominik Brodowski
By passing the current Vcc setting to the pcmcia_config_loop callback function, we can remove pcmcia_get_configuration_info() calls from many drivers. Signed-off-by: Dominik Brodowski <linux@dominikbrodowski.net>
2008-08-23pcmcia: pcmcia_config_loop() default CIS entry handlingDominik Brodowski
Many drivers use the default CIS entry within their pcmcia_config_loop() callback function. Therefore, factor the default CIS entry handling out. Signed-off-by: Dominik Brodowski <linux@dominikbrodowski.net>
2008-08-23pcmcia: pcmcia_config_loop() ConfigIndex unificationDominik Brodowski
Almost all drivers set p_dev->conf.ConfigIndex to cfg->index in the pcmcia_config_loop() callback function. Therefore, factor it out. Signed-off-by: Dominik Brodowski <linux@dominikbrodowski.net>
2008-08-23pcmcia: use pcmcia_loop_config in net pcmcia driversDominik Brodowski

2008-02-15Fix station address detection in smcChuck Ebbert
Megahertz EM1144 PCMCIA ethernet adapter needs special handling because it has two VERS_1 tuples and the station address is in the second one. Conversion to generic handling of these fields broke it. 2008-02-05pcmcia: replace kio_addr_t with unsigned int everywhereOlof Johansson

2008-01-183c574, 3c515 bitfields abuseAl Viro
wn3_config is shared by these cards; the way we deal with it is both bad C (union abuse) and broken on big-endian. For 3c515 it's less serious (ISA cards are quite rare outside of little-endian boxen), but 3c574 is a pcmcia one and that'd better be endian-independent... Fix is the same in both cases. 2007-12-223c574 and 3c589 endianness fixes (.24?)Al Viro
Both store MAC address in CIS; there's no decoder for that type (0x88) so the drivers work with raw data. It is byteswapped, so ntohs() works for little-endian, but for big-endian it's wrong. ntohs(le16_to_cpu()) does the right thing on both (and always expands to swab16()).
