2009-01-29iwl3945: Use iwl-agn-rs.h rates definitions.Samuel Ortiz
A lot of rate relates definition are shared between iwl-3945-rs.h and iwl-agn-rs.h. Let's just use the agn version, and add the 3945 specific constants there. 2008-09-24mac80211: clean up rate control APIJohannes Berg
Long awaited, hard work. This patch totally cleans up the rate control API to remove the requirement to include internal headers outside of net/mac80211/. There's one internal use in the PID algorithm left for mesh networking, we'll have to figure out a way to clean that one up and decide how to do the peer link evaluation, possibly independent of the rate control algorithm or via new API. Additionally, ath9k is left using the cross-inclusion hack for now, we will add new API where necessary to make this work properly, but right now I'm not expert enough to do it. It's still off better than before. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes@sipsolutions.net> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
2008-04-01iwlwifi: move rate registration to module loadReinette Chatre
Having rate registration during module load enables the use of error checking as well as reliable registration/unregistration pairing. Previously this was not possible as rate registration was done during _probe where _probe could be run for more than one device on the system. 2007-11-14iwl3945: place CCK rates in front of OFDM for supported ratesMohamed Abbas
The patch fixes association failure (reason = 18) bug by arranging CCK rates before OFDM rates. This patch will register with mac80211 the modified rate arrangement with CCK rate first. Change rate scale algorithm also to deal with rate change. Fix Txpower and rate Table commands to be constructed correctly after rearrangement.
