2009-04-21asiliantfb: add missing return statementVlada Peric
Commit 032220ba (asiliantfb: fix cmap memory leaks) changed the function init_asiliant from void to int, resulting in the following compile warning: drivers/video/asiliantfb.c: In function `init_asiliant': drivers/video/asiliantfb.c:536: warning: control reaches end of non-void function Fix the warning by returning 0. 2009-04-01asiliantfb: fix cmap memory leaksAndres Salomon
- fix cmap leak in removal path - fix cmap leak when register_framebuffer fails - check return value of fb_alloc_cmap - don't continue with driver setup if register_framebuffer fails [krzysztof.h1@wp.pl: spotted missing iounmap] [randy.dunlap@oracle.com: move data declaration before any code] Signed-off-by: Andres Salomon <dilinger@debian.org> Cc: Krzysztof Helt <krzysztof.h1@wp.pl> Signed-off-by: Randy Dunlap <randy.dunlap@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2006-07-10[PATCH] vt: Remove VT-specific declarations and definitions from tty.hJon Smirl
MAX_NR_CONSOLES, fg_console, want_console and last_console are more of a function of the VT layer than the TTY one. Moving these to vt.h and vt_kern.h allows all of the framebuffer and VT console drivers to remove their dependency on tty.h. 2006-03-27[PATCH] drivers/video: Use ARRAY_SIZE macroTobias Klauser
Use ARRAY_SIZE macro instead of sizeof(x)/sizeof(x[0]) and remove duplicates of ARRAY_SIZE. Some coding style and trailing whitespaces are also fixed. Compile-tested where possible (some are other arch or BROKEN) Signed-off-by: Tobias Klauser <tklauser@nuerscht.ch> Cc: "Antonino A. 2006-02-24[PATCH] Fix pseudo_palette setup in asiliantfb_setcolreg()Antonino A. Daplas
The setcolreg function will attempt to write 24 color entries to the pseudo_pallette. However, the pseudo_palette has only space for 16 entries. Thanks to Atsushi Nemoto for reporting this bug. 2005-11-07[PATCH] fbcon/fbdev: Move softcursor out of fbdev to fbconAntonino A. Daplas
According to Jon Smirl, filling in the field fb_cursor with soft_cursor for drivers that do not support hardware cursors is redundant. The soft_cursor function is usable by all drivers because it is just a wrapper around fb_imageblit. And because soft_cursor is an fbcon-specific hook, the file is moved to the console directory. Thus, drivers that do not support hardware cursors can leave the fb_cursor field blank. For drivers that do, they can fill up this field with their own version. The end result is a smaller code size. And if the framebuffer console is not loaded, module/kernel size is also reduced because the soft_cursor module will also not be loaded. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
