2010-02-10nfs41: fix nfs4_callback_recallslotAndy Adamson
Return NFS4_OK if target high slotid equals enforced high slotid. Fix nfs_client reference leak. Signed-off-by: Andy Adamson <andros@netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>
2010-02-10nfs41: implement cb_recall_slotAndy Adamson
Drain the fore channel and reset the max_slots to the new value. Signed-off-by: Andy Adamson <andros@netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>
2010-02-10nfs41: back channel drc minimal implementationAndy Adamson
For now the back channel ca_maxresponsesize_cached is 0 and there is no backchannel DRC. Return NFS4ERR_REP_TOO_BIG_TO_CACHE when a cb_sequence cachethis is true. When it is false, return NFS4ERR_RETRY_UNCACHED_REP as the next operation error. Remember the replay error accross compound operation processing. 2010-02-10nfs41: prepare for back channel drcAndy Adamson
Make all cb_sequence arguments available to verify_seqid which will make replay decisions. Signed-off-by: Andy Adamson <andros@netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>
2010-02-10nfs41: Process callback's referring call listMike Sager
If a CB_SEQUENCE referring call triple matches a slot table entry, the client is still waiting for a response to the original request. In this case, return NFS4ERR_DELAY as the response to the callback. Signed-off-by: Mike Sager <sager@netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>
2010-02-10nfs41: Check slot table for referring callsMike Sager
Traverse a list of referring calls and look for a session/slot/seq number match. Signed-off-by: Mike Sager <sager@netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>
2009-12-05nfs41: v2 fix cb_recall bugAlexandros Batsakis
in NFSv4.1 the seqid part of a stateid in CB_RECALL must be 0 Signed-off-by: Alexandros Batsakis <batsakis@netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>
2009-12-05nfs41: V2 initial support for CB_RECALL_ANYAlexandros Batsakis
For now the clients returns _all_ the delegations of the specificed type it holds Signed-off-by: Alexandros Batsakis <batsakis@netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>
2009-06-17nfs41: Backchannel: CB_SEQUENCE validationRicardo Labiaga
Validates the callback's sessionID, the slot number, and the sequence ID. Increments the slot's sequence. Detects replays, but simply prints a debug message (if debugging is enabled since we don't yet implement a duplicate request cache for the backchannel. This should not present a problem, since only idempotent callbacks are currently implemented. 2009-06-17nfs41: Backchannel: New find_client_with_session()Ricardo Labiaga
Finds the 'struct nfs_client' that matches the server's address, major version number, and session ID. Signed-off-by: Ricardo Labiaga <Ricardo.Labiaga@netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Benny Halevy <bhalevy@panasas.com>

2008-01-30NFSv4: Iterate through all nfs_clients when the server recalls a delegationTrond Myklebust
The same delegation may have been handed out to more than one nfs_client. Ensure that if a recall occurs, we return all instances. Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>
2008-01-30NFS: Change nfs_find_client() to take "struct sockaddr *"Chuck Lever
Adjust arguments and callers of nfs_find_client() to pass a "struct sockaddr *" instead of "struct sockaddr_in *" to support non-IPv4 addresses. Signed-off-by: Chuck Lever <chuck.lever@oracle.com> Cc: Aurelien Charbon <aurelien.charbon@ext.bull.net> Trond: Also fix up protocol version number argument in nfs_find_client() to use the correct u32 type. 2008-01-30NFS: Change cb_recallargs to pass "struct sockaddr *" instead of sockaddr_inChuck Lever

2008-01-30NFS: Change cb_getattrargs to pass "struct sockaddr *" instead of sockaddr_inChuck Lever

2008-01-30NFS: Move dprintks from callback.c to callback_proc.cChuck Lever
Clean up: The client side peer address is available in callback_proc.c, so move a dprintk out of fs/nfs/callback.c and into fs/nfs/callback_proc.c. This is more consistent with other debugging messages, and the proc routines have more information about each request to display. 2006-09-22NFS: Generalise the nfs_client structureDavid Howells
Generalise the nfs_client structure by: (1) Moving nfs_client to a more general place (nfs_fs_sb.h). (2) Renaming its maintenance routines to be non-NFS4 specific. (3) Move those maintenance routines to a new non-NFS4 specific file (client.c) and move the declarations to internal.h. (4) Make nfs_find/get_client() take a full sockaddr_in to include the port number (will be required for NFS2/3). (5) Make nfs_find/get_client() take the NFS protocol version (again will be required to differentiate NFS2, 3 & 4 client records). Also: (6) Make nfs_client construction proceed akin to inodes, marking them as under construction and providing a function to indicate completion. (7) Make nfs_get_client() wait interruptibly if it finds a client that it can share, but that client is currently being constructed. (8) Make nfs4_create_client() use (6) and (7) instead of locking cl_sem. Signed-Off-By: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>
2006-09-22NFS: Rename struct nfs4_client to struct nfs_clientDavid Howells
Rename struct nfs4_client to struct nfs_client so that it can become the basis for a general client record for NFS2 and NFS3 in addition to NFS4. Signed-Off-By: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>

2006-01-06NFSv4: Ensure change attribute returned by GETATTR callback conforms to specTrond Myklebust
According to RFC3530 we're supposed to cache the change attribute at the time the client receives a write delegation. If the inode is clean, a CB_GETATTR callback by the server to the client is supposed to return the cached change attribute. If, OTOH, the inode is dirty, the client should bump the cached change attribute by 1. Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>
2005-06-22[PATCH] NFS: Header file cleanup...Trond Myklebust

2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
