2008-02-09[SPARC64]: Add SG merging support back into IOMMU code.David S. Miller
Mimicks almost perfectly the powerpc IOMMU code, except that it doesn't have the IOMMU_PAGE_SIZE != PAGE_SIZE handling, and it also lacks the device dma mask support bits. I'll add that later as time permits, but this gets us at least back to where we were beforehand. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-02-06[SPARC64]: Temporarily remove IOMMU merging code.David S. Miller
Changeset fde6a3c82d67f592eb587be4d12222b0ae6d4321 ("iommu sg merging: sparc64: make iommu respect the segment size limits") broke sparc64 because whilst it added the segment limiting code to the first pass of SG mapping (in prepare_sg()) it did not add matching code to the second pass handling (in fill_sg()) As a result the two passes disagree where the segment boundaries should be, resulting in OOPSes, DMA corruption, and corrupted superblocks. 2007-10-17Remove dma_cache_(wback|inv|wback_inv) functionsRalf Baechle
dma_cache_(wback|inv|wback_inv) were the earliest attempt on a generalized cache managment API for I/O purposes. Originally it was basically the raw MIPS low level cache API exported to the entire world. The API has suffered from a lack of documentation, was not very widely used unlike it's more modern brothers and can easily be replaced by dma_cache_sync. So remove it rsp. turn the surviving bits back into an arch private API, as discussed on linux-arch. 2007-04-26[SPARC64]: Internalize pci_memspace_mask.David S. Miller
The only user was bus_dvma_to_mem() which is no longer used by any driver, so kill that, and the export of pci_memspace_mask. The only user now is the PCI mmap support code. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2006-10-11[PATCH] Consolidate check_signatureMatthew Wilcox
There's nothing arch-specific about check_signature(), so move it to <linux/io.h>. Use a cross between the Alpha and i386 implementations as the generic one. 2005-08-31[SPARC64]: Use 'unsigned long' for port argument to I/O string ops.David S. Miller
This kills warnings when building drivers/ide/ide-iops.c and puts us in-line with what other platforms do here. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
